Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information mattshockley.com (operated by Matt Shockley, Long Beach, California) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions? Email music@mattshockley.com.
Information you give us
When you send an inquiry through the booking form, we collect what you enter: your name, email, phone number, and event details such as date, venue, guest count, budget range and any notes. We use it only to reply to you, quote and plan your event, and keep a record of bookings.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site uses cookies and similar technologies from two services:
- Google Analytics — counts visits and shows which pages are used, so we can improve the site.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) — tells us when someone who saw one of our ads visits the site or sends an inquiry, so we can measure and improve our advertising. Meta may use this information to show you relevant ads.
These services may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, the website or ad that brought you here, and whether you submitted the inquiry form. We do not send the contents of your form (your name, email, phone or event details) to Google or Meta.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run this site and its measurement: Netlify (website hosting and form delivery), Google (analytics) and Meta (advertising measurement), each under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Control how Meta uses website activity for ads in your Meta Accounts Center ad preferences.
- Opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at aboutads.info.
- Ask us to see, correct or delete the inquiry information you sent by emailing music@mattshockley.com.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, so this site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one. The third-party services above may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites. You can use the choices listed above to limit this.
Children
This site is intended for adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Data retention and security
We keep inquiry information as long as needed to respond, plan and keep records of events, and we use reasonable measures to protect it. No website can guarantee perfect security.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
